These are my tips for the basic body types:

One time I went to church and as I was sitting on one of the benches as other people were filing in, I saw a woman come striding along the aisle holding the hands of her two little girls. As she passed, I noticed something that made my heart absolutely drop. The hem of her dress was tucked into her nylons revealing her underwear. If this had happened to me, I probably would have died.
