Christmas Surprise

Don’t you just love Christmas? I so do! Somehow there’s something about the holidays that make me feel so good. Is it the Christmas carols? The gift -giving? The wonderful people around who seem to be extra forgiving and warm? It could be many reasons, but whatever it is, I just love the holiday celebrations.

I have not started decorating our house, though. I know, you would say it’s too early anyway, but you see, in the Philippines, Christmas is celebrated very early in the year. Maybe we just love those lights and the feasting so much! I still have not thought about buying decors. Maybe the kids could start opening those boxes and look for decors we could re use. I will just order personalized stockings online for added effect! Oh, wait.. I want that to be a surprise for the kids!

Vacation Plans

My husband and I are already fixed on having a vacation this coming November of this year. Plans are already in place, activities in numbers and places are listed. I am sure there will be a lot of memorable experiences when this day comes. One of our plans is to go to the Manila Ocean Park where my kids will get to see and experience sea creatures and sea adventures.

To bring back home the memory that awaits us, a digital camcorder should not be forgotten. Lots of memory cards also should be brought as to save all the fun that we will have. Now the problem is ours is kinda broken already, I think we need to checkout the latest digital camcorders on sale.

Naughty Fantasy

There was that movie that I saw in the past and the main character used a Volvo. It was sleek and black and rode very fast. That was the car for action heroes.

I wonder how they would function in real, day to day life. I mean without the action and the camera-angling, I wonder how it would feel riding a car like that.

It is a dream to step inside a Volvo and lay my stockinged feet on luxurious volvo mats. Oh well, it’s free to dream, right? And I am a hopeless romantic, that is why in my fantasy, I wear stockings. Teehee Just a naughty thought.

Busy Friends

My friend is already preparing for their street dancing competition which will happen in a couple of months. They are also busy looking for sponsors so that they could start buying materials for their costumes. Aside from that, they have started assembling feather flags to write the brands or names of their sponsors while they dance. They are all excited.

As for me, I am excited but the problem is… I wouldn’t be able to see them perform this year. I am already oceans and islands away from them. Anyway, I still wish them luck and more fun!

Relationship Problems

Every relationship over history has experienced problems of some sort. These problems could be related to money, in-laws, peers, or polygamy. But whatever the reason, fights are inevitable in every relationship.

There are relationships to keep and worth fighting for. And many people have succeeded in making them work. They have gotten married and build their families because both parties have tried to work things out. But there are really those that from the beginning, warning signals have already been blazing but the lovers were blinded by their so-called love. Just be careful with these kinds of relationships. It is easy to get entangled with them and difficult to get out of. Look out for exit signs early on so that you can jump out of that kind of relationship before you are in too deep.

The best thing to have in every relationship is an open channel with other people so that you will not be lost from your circle of friends just in case your love life turns sour.

Mattress Problem Solved

I think I have mentioned in some of my past posts that I’m looking to buy mattressesthat we can use upon our return to the house in CDO. I have actually gone out a couple of times to do some mattress canvassing. As a frugal shopper, I want to buy good quality yet affordable finds and that goes for everything.

I realized, though, that even if I could find cheap mattresses here I would still have to pay cargo fees to have them shipped to CDO. With that set-up, I won’t be able to save much. That’s why I had put my mattress shopping on hold. I can always buy them from stores in CDO. Besides, if I have them shipped, they may not arrive right away hence I can’t proceed with decorating.

Anyway I have already decided on the best pieces to buy so all I need to do is look for the same ones once we get to CDO and buy them. Then I can start decorating the house and the bedrooms right away and not have to wait for the shipment to arrive.

When the Occasion Calls for It

God is very creative and a lover of beauty. Just take a look at the lovely flowers that He has created. It is no wonder why flowers are always a part of special occasions. Birthdays, weddings and anniversaries, Valentine’s and all the other special days of the year are all flooded with flowers. It is a nice way of expressing how we feel towards our loved on when we offer them flowers.

If there is one person that I would like to honor by giving her flowers, that would be my mother. She had been sacrificial in raising me and my siblings and up until now, she doesn’t stop caring for me and even my children. She is a great helper and I would now know what to do without my Mama.

So this coming Mother’s Day, I will surely order Bridgeport flowers for her. It is a simple gesture of saying thanks to all that she has done. I know that nothing I do will really repay what she has given me, but somehow I hope that I will be able to make her feel special even for just one day.

Aside from being a wife, mother and daughter, I am also the breadwinner of the family. I have to say that it’s not easy being all that. There are days when I just want to give up. However, the knowledge that my family depends on me is enough to make me want to do better.

I know that everything I work hard for will give my family a more comfortable life and that’s all the really matters to me. But if there’s one thing that I want to be able to provide for them, it would have to be security for their future. I want to make sure that I’ve got their future covered just in case something beyond my control happens.

Therefore I’m trying my best to find more opportunities for me so that I can get life insurance for my family. I’m currently looking at life insurance rates to see which plan would be most affordable. I honestly believe that there are some things in life that can’t wait and obtaining life insurance is one of them.
