Busy Friends

My friend is already preparing for their street dancing competition which will happen in a couple of months. They are also busy looking for sponsors so that they could start buying materials for their costumes. Aside from that, they have started assembling feather flags to write the brands or names of their sponsors while they dance. They are all excited.

As for me, I am excited but the problem is… I wouldn’t be able to see them perform this year. I am already oceans and islands away from them. Anyway, I still wish them luck and more fun!

I recently learned that there are certain organizations that require challenging their members to something in order to prove their worthiness to become part of that group. And if they pass that challenge, they receive what is called the challenge coin, which is a specially made coin that contains the emblem of the organization.

Wow! It would be a great honor to receive the challenge coin. Maybe we should also do that in the local organization that I am in. The problem is, where would we have such coins made? Hmmmm….that is something to think about. Maybe I should bring it up to the members, especially the core group.

Mattress Problem Solved

I think I have mentioned in some of my past posts that I’m looking to buy mattressesthat we can use upon our return to the house in CDO. I have actually gone out a couple of times to do some mattress canvassing. As a frugal shopper, I want to buy good quality yet affordable finds and that goes for everything.

I realized, though, that even if I could find cheap mattresses here I would still have to pay cargo fees to have them shipped to CDO. With that set-up, I won’t be able to save much. That’s why I had put my mattress shopping on hold. I can always buy them from stores in CDO. Besides, if I have them shipped, they may not arrive right away hence I can’t proceed with decorating.

Anyway I have already decided on the best pieces to buy so all I need to do is look for the same ones once we get to CDO and buy them. Then I can start decorating the house and the bedrooms right away and not have to wait for the shipment to arrive.

Breast Milk Production Problem

When I gave birth to my three children, I always have it in mind to breastfeed them since I am a firm believer of breastfeeding. But the problem was when I gave birth to my third baby, my breast milk wasn’t sufficient to feed her. I needed help to increase breast milk production. I took vitamins and ate a lot of food and drink a lot of soup just to help me produce breast milk.

Unfortunately, I guessed I was so stressed out that I didn’t produce breast milk well. I stopped breast feeding and eventually gave in to baby formulas.

Anyway, I felt guilty by giving baby formula to my third child but I have no choice. She needed to feed and I couldn’t give her. This is the reason why I envy those women who are able to breastfed their babies until they reach two years old and beyond!
